Need night cover volunteers.
We are struggling at the moment to find volunteers, in particular to do night shifts. The night shift begins at 7:30pm, volunteers can sleep in the staff bedroom from 12am, but are required to be up/dressed for 8am the next morning when the next shift comes in. During the night if there is an emergency; e.g the phone rings/some one wants to move in, then the volunteer would be required to deal with this. Typical days that require cover of this type are Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, usually weekly. Periodically there can be mid week shifts to cover for staff holidays or last minute cover. Volunteers are given in house training an hour at a time over the course of approximately five weeks and are required to undertake a police check. Volunteers are not expected to work a set rota but can work as suits them at their availability. More information about the Refuge and the volunteer's role can be found on our website: www.jerseywomensrefuge.org or call on Freephone 08007 356 836, or office line 873288. |
