The Jersey Women’s Refuge island wide fundraiser (The Deals in Heels Wonder Woman Challenge) is sponsored by local company Deals in Heels. The fundraiser has already been organised and flyers will be sent out to 30,000 homes in Jersey. It has artwork designed by an award winning Design Company and 4 star break prizes and local celebrity judges, all you have to do is work to promote it and ensure the smooth running of the fundraiser!
An integral part of the role is to be able to write excellent press releases, maintain media contacts and generally be on the ball in gaining press coverage for Jersey Women’s Refuge.
Overall, we’re looking for a committed individual who is willing to go the extra mile in promoting our organisation. Jersey Women’s Refuge need to raise £150,000 in donations every year so raising awareness of the charity is crucial, and with an average of one in four women experiencing domestic violence at some point in their lifetime, raising awareness of the work we do is even more important.
Base skills required are an understanding of PR, good writing skills and a creative flair. Experience in social networking is a must as we need someone who can keep up with our facebook and twittering too!
