Name of Organisation: British Red Cross

Brief Description of Activities: The British Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. The British Red Cross enables vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities and when the crisis is over, we help people recover and move on with their lives. Locally in Jersey there is a Fundraising Committee which raises funds to support specific Red Cross initiatives and projects across the world.

Voluntary/Paid: Voluntary

Brief Description of Duties: Assisting the Jersey Fundraising Team. This will depend on an individual's preference but opportunities exist as follows: being part of the Fundraising Committee; collecting as part of street collections & at public events; assisting at British Red Cross fundraising events such as Garden Parties and Quiz Nights; making cakes & preserves which are sold at fundraising events; attending presentations to promote the work of the British Red Cross.
