Brief Description of Activities: The Scout Association in the British Isles provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for 500,000 young people aged 6-25. Internationally, it is the largest co-educational youth organisation in the world with over 28 million young people enjoying the benefits of Scouting across 216 countries.
In Jersey we have 800 members participating in organised activities at locations around the Island. Over 150 adult volunteers from all walks of life provide these activities and support for young people.

Brief Description of Duties:
Scout Leader
Our Sea Scout Group is looking for active volunteers who enjoy water activities such as sailing and canoeing and would love to share their enthusiasm with boys and girls, aged 10 - 14. Time commitment is flexible but anticipate no less than 5 hours per week would be spent planning and running activities for the young people. As with all voluntary positions in Scouting training will be provided.
Cub Scout Leader
We are looking at widening the opportunity for girls and boys aged 8 - 10 to enjoy Scouting activities. We are seeking active adults who enjoy the outdoors but are also creative and organised to get involved with this exciting new project. There would be a time commitment of regular weekly meetings, plus planning time and occasional weekends. However it is a volunteer position that can be shared between 2 or 3 people providing flexibility to fit in with people's busy lives.
Fundraising Manager
To source funding for Scouting activities through fundraising initiatives and potential donors or sponsors. This includes providing funding advice to seven Scout Groups and identifying new opportunities of income sources. To be a full and active member of the Jersey Scout Association Executive Committee and as such be eligible for Charity Trustee status.
