Looking for volunteers to fill various positions.

Volunteering can be rewarding in so many ways and by being part of the Jersey Heritage volunteer team you will be helping to protect the Island's heritage for generations to enjoy. By becoming a Jersey Heritage volunteer, you will be part of a committed team nurturing and protecting the Island's heritage and bringing history to life. The value our volunteers bring to the organisation is enormous. We need people just like you to help us achieve more. In return you will have the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and learn new skills - training will be provided.  Guides at Mont Orgueil
 Guides at Elizabeth Castle: weekday afternoons
 Guides at La Hougue Bie
 Hosts at the Maritime Museum and Occupation Tapestry Gallery
 A new member for the team who work Monday to Wednesday in the boat shop at the Maritime Museum - skills required are carpentry, engineering and painting.
 A new member for the team who work with the Conservator on Friday afternoons at Augrès Store, cleaning assorted objects for exhibitions and displays.
 Musicians to animate and enhance sites when Living History performances are not available, e.g. at Jersey Museum, Mont Orgueil and La Hougue Bie.
 A general helper to support site gardiens at busiest times, including lifting and shifting, relaying messages, checking displays, lights etc., providing a friendly face.
 Behind the scenes researchers to fill in the gaps for the website and special projects
 Someone to type the contents of Exhibition and Site Visitor Comments Books
 Someone to scan and to catalogue art work
 Someone to type - to transcribe cider-themed oral history recordings
 Someone to help the wedding assistant: for a couple of hours at weekends, to help with the set-up of a wedding ceremony (mostly at Mont Orgueil). You need to be physically fit as there is often a bit of shifting involved.
