Name of Organisation: Jersey Hospice Care.

Brief Description of Activities: Jersey Hospice Care is a specialist palliative nursing service, which provides holistic care for cancer and motor neurone disease patients. Its comprehensive service includes home care, day hospice and an in-patient unit at its headquarters, Clarkson House. Jersey Hospice Care also provides a bereavement service, which accepts referrals from both colleagues within the charity and the community. Jersey Hospice Care is a registered charity and makes no charge to patients. It receives no funding from the States of Jersey and relies entirely on the generosity of the public.
All volunteers attend an introductory session followed by an induction and ongoing education programme.

Position: Volunteer drivers.

Brief Description of Duties: Our volunteer drivers bring patients and carers to and from Clarkson House.
