Looking to fill various positions - some paid positions available.
We provide savings and loan facilities, together with financial and mentoring support to the community, many of whom are unable to access those financial services that most of us rely upon.
After many years of senior positions being filled by volunteers, during 2010 we had to acknowledge that we could not develop our plans very much further without paid executives. We presently only have one such individual but now need more.
They should be committed to helping the less fortunate in our society and willing to accept that as we are a charity, remuneration will not be at the level available in certain comparable positions. Job satisfaction however, will probably be at much higher levels!
Managing Director (designate). Candidates must have had experience at a senior level in an area such as banking or accountancy and may have recently retired from the finance industry or decided on a change of direction in their life styles.
This is a part time opportunity, of between 15 - 20 hours a week but could possibly be more, if that is what the successful candidate preferred.
He or she would work closely with the Chairman and Executive Officer particularly but also with the Boards of Directors and Trustees, with the objective of fulfilling our Vision of totally eradicating social and financial deprivation in Jersey.

Executive Officer. This Officer would oversee the running the office, which is open at present on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, managing a team of volunteers and part-time paid personnel. In addition, he or she would support the Managing Director in developing the business.
A financial background would certainly be preferred. This would also be a part time position with a requirement for a similar time commitment as the Managing Director.

Office Manager. To manage the Office on a day to day basis and support the Executive Officer, deputising during his or her absence.
Again, this would be a part time position of around 15 hours a week.

Development Officer: A marketing background would obviously be of advantage, as would an extensive knowledge of Jersey and its organisations.
Flexible part time of anything from 5 hours a week.
