About the event Get ready to achieve something incredible We’re excited to announce our two challenges : trekking the Himalayas and cycling in Morocco! Imagine travelling to a far off exotic destination with a group of people you may not have met before and experiencing some of the most spectacular scenery and inspiring culture the world has to offer. Sounds like an idyllic holiday, right? Now imagine you are travelling across that country on two wheels, undertaking a daily battle with steep hills and warm weather, where around every corner and over every hill there is another incredible view or experience to be had. And imagine you could undertake that journey in the knowledge that you are raising funds for a cause that makes a daily difference to the lives of hundreds of people. This is what our 2019 Challengers will be facing this October! ‘Fill your life with adventures, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show.’ anonymous From the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, dotted with traditional Berber mud-brick villages, to the argan forests and undulating roads of the coast, this is a diverse cultural adventure with incredible cycling! Challenging mountainous terrain provides us with tough climbs and unforgettable sweeping descents, while the ever-changing scenery, villages and cities shows us Morocco’s enchanting diversity. After time in laid-back atmospheric Essaouira, we finish in the ancient city of Marrakech with its labyrinthine streets boasting some of the most intriguing souks in Morocco. Two day Marrakech extension If you want to extend your stay, we are offering a two day extension in Marrakech. Stay in a beautiful historic riad, an ornately-decorated traditional Moroccan house set around a courtyard garden, in vibrant Marrakech. A haven of calm amidst the old city, your riad offers a perfect place to relax and soak up the sunshine from its rooftop terrace, while only being a stone’s throw from the bustle of the souks.
