A community festival with a sand sculpture competition for children with Jersey’s own Sandman who will also create some of his beautiful beach artwork, live music and stands for the whole family to enjoy. And of course the Colour Run, a 5k run during which runners are showered with coloured powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run. At the end of the run, participants gather for one final ‘colour party’ when coloured powder is thrown up into the air in a cloud. All funds raised through our Colour Run are used to employ a Paediatric Palliative Care worker, who supports children and families on the Jersey Children’s Palliative Care Pathway. This is an additional and specialist role designed to complement the Community Children’s Nursing Team.
