DESCRIPTION:The local branch of Samaritans is currently recruiting for more listening and support volunteers and is holding an information evening on Wednesday 29th January 2025 6 - 7pm at their base at 30 Hue Street\, St Helier\, opposite the side of the Magistrate&rsquo\;s Court.
Branch Director Tarnia emphasised the rewards of being a Samaritans volunteer:
&ldquo\;To be entrusted to a caller&rsquo\;s innermost thoughts\, feelings and emotions at a time when they may be feeling at their lowest most vulnerable times\, is incredibly humbling.
