DESCRIPTION:Using technology can help reassure families that a person with dementia is safe and secure at home and alerts will be raised if not.
We are delighted to welcome Daniel Pena from Digital Telecare to our speaker evening.
Telecare is an emergency alarm and remote monitoring system to help people live safely and independently at home. Daniel will have Telecare equipment available to look at during the session. He will explain the benefits\, demonstrate options and will be able to answer any questions you may have on the service.
The service uses: &bull\; alarm pendants worn on your body that allows you to speak directly to a Care Navigator &bull\; sensors\, including fall detection\, smart plugs\, seizure monitors and environmental devices &bull\; GPS location tracking &bull\; other aids if you&rsquo\;re visually or hearing impaired Telecare customise packages based on specific needs. Note: No understanding of technology is required to benefit from this technology! Our Dementia Advisors will also be on hand if you need to speak to them about any topics or concerns.
This event is open to anyone who is supporting or caring for a person with dementia
