We are thrilled to announce that JAAR are is bringing Christiane Sanderson back to Jersey for a second year. Following the success of last year's training on "The Hidden Nature of Sibling Sexual Abuse: Working with Adult Survivors," we received numerous requests for additional courses. Christiane Sanderson, a former senior lecturer in Psychology at the University of Roehampton, London, with 30 years of experience in the field of childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence, and complex trauma, will be leading the training. She has provided guidance and training for various professionals, including parents, teachers, social workers, nurses, therapists, police, and faith communities. Her research interests cover trauma-informed therapeutic practice, PTSD, Complex Trauma, CSA, domestic abuse, and narcissism. Christiane is also the author of several publications, including "Working with Survivors of Sibling Sexual Abuse: A Guide to Therapeutic Support and Protection for Children and Adults" and "Counselling Skills for Working with Shame." This year, we are offering two full training days on Friday, April 19th, and Saturday, April 20th, (09:30-16:30) at the Royal Hotel David Place. Participants can attend one or both days. Friday's training will focus on "The Trauma Counsellor's Toolbox: Exercises and Techniques to Aid Recovery and Healing from Complex Trauma." Saturday's morning training will cover "Reclaiming Sexuality after Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence." In the afternoon, the session will delve into "Narcissistic Injuries and the Traumatised Narcissist." More information and booking is available on https://jaar.je/christiane-sanderson-training-courses/ This course is open to everybody and will be hugely beneficial for people working with vulnerable individuals. Don't miss this opportunity for two full days of valuable training and CPD hours. We look forward to your participation.
