Jersey Legacy Week 2026
7-13 September 2026 - Leave a Better Tomorrow
Get involved in Jersey Legacy Week
Jersey Legacy Week is an Island-wide campaign encouraging more people to think about the difference they could make by leaving a gift to charity in their Will. Charities, professional advisers, businesses and other organisations can all help make legacy giving more visible, familiar and accessible.
The more organisations that take part, the more likely we are to reach people who may never previously have considered leaving a charitable gift.
Ways to take part
You can:
- Personalise the campaign poster with your own logo, website or QR code
- Share Legacy Week through your newsletter, website and social media
- Use stories and real examples to show the difference gifts in Wills can make
- Encourage supporters, clients, colleagues and networks to think about the legacy they may want to leave
- Share useful information or guidance about charitable gifts in Wills
- Display campaign materials in your workplace or community
- Use #JerseyLegacyWeek to help amplify the campaign across Jersey
Use stories to start the conversation
Legacy giving can feel like a difficult subject to introduce. Real stories can make it more personal and relatable.
You might share:
- something a past legacy has already made possible
- why someone chose to remember a charity in their Will
- what a future gift could help protect, continue or create
- a personal reflection on the difference someone would like to leave behind
The aim is not simply to ask people for a gift, but to help them think about what matters to them and the impact they would like to have in the future.
For professional advisers
Lawyers, Advocates, wealth managers and other advisers are also encouraged to take part.
By sharing the campaign and raising charitable giving where appropriate, professional advisers can help make gifts in Wills a more natural part of conversations around estates, family and future planning.
