Jersey Heart Support group was founded in 2011 and exists to empower and support individuals in Jersey affected by heart conditions. We also support their families and friends through every step of their cardiac journey. We have a close working relationship with the Jersey Cardiac team to help enhance our island cardiac care, advance medical research and ensure compassionate support for our community.

We actively promote the placement, installation, education about and use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) across Jersey to improve response times and save lives. We also provide vital equipment and fund local research initiatives to advance cardiac care.

Our mission is two-fold in that we want to help prevent heart disease and also support those living with the challenges heart disease brings.

We are registered with the Jersey Charity Commission (charity 362), the Jersey Financial Services Commission as a (Non-Profit Organisation) and the Association of Jersey Charities.

Our Aims:

To provide continuity to people completing the Cardiac Rehabilitation course.

To provide support for the present and new members,their partners, families, friends & carers.

To provide members with current information, thoughts and literature on aftercare for heart patients.

To maintain close contact with health officials.

To educate members of the public about heart disease, its prevention and treatments.

To improve the detection and treatment of cardiac conditions in the community.

To improve cardiac rehabilitation facilities.

To make contact with other local voluntary groups.

To raise funds to maintain and develop the group and facilities in Jersey.
