Société Jersiaise - We're Hiring: Business Support Officer (Part-Time)

Société Jersiaise is looking for a Business Support Officer to join our team at an

exciting time as we strengthen our systems, support our people, and build foundations for future growth. This newly created role will work closely with our CEO and play a key part in supporting operations, governance, finance, HR, projects, communications and fundraising.

Founded in 1873, Société Jersiaise is one of Jersey's oldest charities. We support research, education and public engagement across archaeology, history, language, culture and the natural environment. With more than 1,300 members, a historic library and archive, active research sections, publications, events and scholarship programmes, our work helps preserve and share Jersey's rich heritage. 

What we're looking for

Strong organisational and project management skills

Experience in operations, HR, administration or governance

Financial awareness and budget management experience

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Someone who can work independently, take initiative and manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion 

The role

Pier Road, St Helier

Part-time, 22.5 hours per week (flexible across Monday to Friday)

£16.00 to £18.25 per hour, depending on experience

Five weeks annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays and an additional Christmas

closure period
