The lecture will take place on Tuesday 28 May at The Royal Yacht Hotel from 6pm. All profits will go directly to St John Ambulance Jersey. Colditz was believed to be escape-proof and was guarded by a large force of Germans, many of whom had fought on the Eastern Front. It was, without doubt, the most famous of all PoW Camps. From escapees dressed as ladies or German officers, to those hidden in sacks, or those who worked on the glider or in the sewer tunnels, this is the story of unbelievable endeavour and courage. This unique presentation is seen through the eyes of one of the longest serving Colditz prisoners; Colonel Peter Storie-Pugh, CBE MC TD DL, Colditz 1940 - 1945.
