In aid of Philip's Footprints This run takes place along Jersey’s south east coast, out to the historic Seymour Tower and back to the start, racing the tide across this beautiful Ramsar site. This is a 10km trail run, across the inter-tidal zone, so be prepared to get wet and run over sandy and rocky surfaces. Unfortunately, due to the timing challenges with beating the tide, entrants must be over 18 only. We are being eco-friendly with our race: Please bring your refillable bottles, Jersey Water have kindly given us a water station at Long Beach car park. The run takes place over part of the Jersey Ramsar site - whilst the run is relatively short, any waste (empty gel packs, water bottles etc) MUST be carried with you. Rubbish bags will be available at Long Beach car park. Please OPT IN to keep up to date with how YOU have made a difference and how Philip's Footprints use your donations - we promise not to overload your inbox. If you would like to make an additional donation on the day or as part of your registration that would be very much appreciated. People are welcome to raise additional sponsorship if they wish which would be a great help towards our fundraising target, you can set up your own sponsorship page or download a paper copy. The run takes place over beach and inter-tidal terrain and shoes and clothing will be exposed to sea water and part of the course may be under water. You are expected to use common sense, follow the marshalled route and avoid running over rocky outcrops and through deeper water. This event will be physically challenging - you will be running 10km across uneven coastal/ inter-tidal terrain, through the gulleys. Due to the risk of tidal cut-off, there is a time limit for reaching the turn-around point (45mins - 5km). You therefore need to be able to run the 10km distance within the 90 minute time set. You are expected to be in good health and not have any medical conditions which might prevent you doing that. In the event of poor weather making the event unsafe, Philip's Footprints reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event.
