Please particularly invite any politicians and candidates that you might know to tune in.
Fiona Vacher is the Executive Director of Jersey Child Care Trust (JCCT), a local charity making a big difference for children and families.  The charity delivers a variety of programmes to enable all children to have their best start. With a professional background and qualifications in early childhood education, Fiona has held roles within the private, government and charitable sector in Jersey.  Maintaining the focus of putting families first in all that she does, Fiona’s role means that she sees first-hand the detrimental repercussions of the pandemic for children.  She is a strong advocate of prioritising our collective focus (government, private and voluntary) and action on helping those who need it now.
Mike Palfreman
After 12 years with Lloyds then Hambros Bank in London (visiting the Jersey office several times), Mike joined the voluntary sector in 1993. After fundraising roles for RNIB and Princess Royal Trust for Carers, he became CEO of Age Concern Havering in 2006 and Haven House Children’s Hospice in NE London in 2011. Having worked there 10 years, acquiring a passion for the hospice sector, Mike joined Jersey Hospice Care 9 months’ ago and is excited about the opportunities to make a difference on Jersey. He met his wife Elizabeth at Hambros Bank (she also spent the last 15 years in the hospice sector). They have a daughter Grace in her final year at university.
Ben Shenton is President - Age Concern Jersey (ACJ), President - Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA), and Chairman of the Jersey Lifeboat Association (JLA). All these positions are honorary. He is an investment manager by profession and has worked on the floor of the London Stock Exchange, and the London International Futures & Options Exchange in the 1980's. Between 2005 and 2011 he was elected as a Senator, States of Jersey Assembly, and held positions as Minister for Health & Social Services, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, and President of the Chairman's Committee. He is married with 2 daughters, and lives in Grouville.
