The True Grit Wetwheels Challenge will be held on Sunday the 28th April 2024. The event location is Ronez Quarry a huge outdoor space. This event will take participants around a set course covering challenging terrain going below sea level. Participants have a choice of just a pure run of approximately 5k and the other will see teams of three taking on some challenging, but fun obstacles along the way. For 2024 we have reduced the age of the Junior section to Year 4 and above which will take them around a 2k course with obstacles. The event charity is Wetwheels. Wetwheels is a motorboat that offers a unique opportunity to disabled and disadvantaged islanders giving them the chance to get out on the water. Wetwheels offer this experience free at the point of service to charities such as Mencap, Autism Jersey, Mont a L'Abbe, Les Amis, the Hospice and many more. They also serve the ageing population working with local care homes, the Parkinson Society and Dementia Jersey. A charity for all charities! The Wetwheels Adventure Race is unique, both in terms of its setting and its creative obstacle challenges and offers many exciting opportunities to potential sponsors. Adventure races offer a great opportunity for team building, therefore attracting corporates to enter teams across different industries.
