JAAR is an independent and confidential service supporting people to recover from the trauma of sexual violence. Charity Manager, Kate Kelly says “Our Online Christmas Auction is a significant event in our fundraising calendar and last year it raised nearly £3,000. We have been blown away by the generosity of local businesses and individuals in response to this year’s appeal for prizes, we are incredibly grateful for each, and every lot received, however big or small. We need to raise around £20,000 a month to support survivors in Jersey, so we are hoping to raise even more this year.” One survivor said “Looking at the whole picture of my life in a safe, supportive place with my counsellor helped me to understand, forgive and love myself. It has changed a lifetime of fear and sadness and guilt into living my life feeling free. I cannot recommend my counsellor and this service highly enough.” If you want to make a difference to the lives of survivors in Jersey this Christmas please visit www.superstars-auctions.com/jaar2023, sign up and start bidding.
