Colour runs have become one of the most popular mass participant events around the world, with over 300 events held in 50 countries each year. The untimed event has no winners or prizes. Instead, runners are showered with coloured paint, made of food-grade corn starch, at designated stations along the run. Competitors arrive at the start line dressed in plain white clothing, and finish the run covered in different colours.
