Operations Manager

The Charity
Jersey Heart Support Group (JHSG) was formed in 2011. The charity aims to support local people with heart conditions by paying for equipment for the local cardiology team, funding research locally, and providing AEDs across the island together with improving heart health across the island and providing up to date heart health information.
The Role
This new funded role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on heart health across the island.
The JHSG charity works closely alongside the local Cardiac team and provides funding for various research projects and equipment. With the development of the new hospital, the charity wishes to significantly grow this area of funding to provide the finest equipment for islanders to ensure the best heart treatment possible on island. JHSG provides defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the island and the Operations Manager will be responsible for improving awareness of their placements and their maintenance as well as devising and implementing an education program on their use. A key part of the role will be the creation of an educational plan focusing on prevention of heart disease, the importance of good nutrition and exercise, together with training for CPR and general heart health.
The successful candidate will be key in further developing the JHSG charity and its team of volunteers. As an inspirational manager, you will be expected to recruit, manage, develop and support our team of volunteers across the island. Communication skills will be key as you will also need to identify and develop new relationships with corporate supporters and high value prospects as well as liaise with the local hospital cardiology team as to their needs and the research currently requiring support from the charity.
You will need to have 5 years residency, a full driving licence with access to a car and the ability to work evenings and weekends when required.
