MHA Jersey

Methodist Homes for the Aged has been operating since 1975 providing excellent residential care for people aged 60 years plus. Our care is inspired by our Christian concern, although our homes are open to residents of all religions or none. It is our aim to support and promote resident’s independence at our two care homes, Maison la Corderie and Stuart Court in a welcoming way.

Maison la Corderie is situated between St Helier town centre and Havre des Pas and provides a total of 30 rooms for residents to live in a home from home environment, whilst empowering them to make their own choices.

Stuart House is a charitable residential home with 25 rooms for long term stays and 2 rooms for short term respite stays. Situated in a central location with two very large well maintained gardens with uninterrupted views of St Aubin’s Bay.

Our most recent inspections carried out by the Jersey Care Commission, which included feedback from care receivers and their relatives, emphasised our ability to create a comforting, familiar environment that meets the care needs and improves overall wellbeing, and praising the service provided by building trust with our residents and their families. There were no areas for improvement identified for both homes.

We are seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to navigate the charity through a pivotal phase of change and opportunity. You will support the Board of Directors, inspire and guide the teams at our homes, and safeguard the charity’s reputation. A key responsibility is ensuring sustainability through effective stewardship of human, financial, and property resources. You will shape and deliver strategy for our affordable care home facilities, manage regulatory and funding relationships, and build collaborative partnerships with all stakeholders, partners and the community.

We seek a senior leader educated to degree level, who brings emotional maturity, excellent communication skills, strategic drive, and proven experience in complex care or charity settings.
The ability to foster a positive and high performing work environment is essential, along with strong governance, media confidence, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.

You can apply by emailing us a cover letter and CV to our recruitment email which is recruitment@lawatworkci.com, alternatively phone us at 01534 887088 to enquire
