Glanville
The current president is stepping down and they are now recruiting for a replacement.
Glanville is a registered charity and the Home is run by a manager with oversight from a management committee. The President chairs the committee. The charity, which traces its roots back to the 1860s provides residential accommodation for up to 25 people.
The president leads the committee which provides the strategic direction for the Charity. At present the committee members who are all voluntary, meet bi monthly and at the AGM. The chairperson also liaises with the manager and responds to questions that need authorisation e.g. advice on maintenance or refurbishment of the Home or changes in legislation or policies that might affect the Home. The president will also be heavily involved with the committee treasurer in setting the annual budget and making sure the home is kept on a sound financial footing.
It is important that the president understands the ethos of Glanville which is to provide a professional, safe, respectful and comfortable Home from Home environment for our residents.
