Jersey Cares is an independent charity dedicated to ensuring that people with care experience in Jersey are heard, supported, and empowered. We provide independent advocacy and champion the rights, wellbeing and opportunities of children, young people, and adults who have experience of being in care.
Our work is grounded in the belief that every person with care experience deserves a safe, consistent, and supportive environment—and the chance to shape the services and decisions that affect their lives.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional and values‑driven Chief Executive Officer to lead Jersey Cares into its next phase of growth and impact.
This is a rare opportunity to guide a high‑integrity, mission‑focused organisation that plays a vital role in strengthening the voice and rights of people with care experience across the Island.
Key Responsibilities
The CEO will:
• Provide clear strategic leadership, ensuring Jersey Cares delivers meaningful and measurable outcomes.
• Champion the rights and experiences of care‑experienced people at every level across government, services, and the community.
• Build relationships and credibility with partners, funders, policymakers, and the wider public.
• Oversee operational matters including supporting and inspiring a passionate team.
• Lead or take part in profile‑raising, fundraising, and impact‑driven initiatives that further the mission of Jersey Cares.
About You
We are looking for a leader who brings:
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles.
• Strong strategic, financial, and operational management skills.
• Outstanding communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Integrity, empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to amplifying the voices of those with care experience.
