*Join Us! Committee Member – HR Advisor*

We are currently seeking an HR Advisor to join our board - someone with a solid background in recruitment and people management, and a passion for supporting families in our local community.

We help families navigate complex issues such as separation, childcare arrangements, financial settlements, and intergenerational disputes. Our work is impactful, and our Trustees play a vital role in shaping our future.

 

About the Role:

As our voluntary HR Advisor, you will be a key member of the Management Committee, responsible for providing direct support to the Committee on HR matters. This offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a local charity.

 

In addition to your HR expertise, you will:

• Ensure FMJ complies with its governing documents and relevant laws.

• Help set strategic direction and evaluate performance.

• Safeguard the charity’s reputation, values, and assets.

• Contribute your expertise to sub-committees or working groups as needed.

 

Commitment

Term: One year, renewable annually.

Meetings: Monthly board meetings, plus the AGM and any extraordinary meetings.

Time: Flexible, but we ask for a reliable commitment to support the charity’s governance.

 

Who We’re Looking For:

We welcome applications from individuals with:

• Professional experience in people management, recruitment, and development.

• An understanding of charity governance and trustee responsibilities (or willingness to learn).

• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to FMJ’s mission.
