The course should be attended by health care professionals whose practice involves end of life conversations and have previously undertaken communication skills training at intermediate level in order to be familiar with communication skills models. It will cover: Reinforcement of core communication skills Practical use of the Calgary Cambridge Communications Skills model Review of the evidence base for effective communication Skills practice in advance care planning and end of life conversations
