Services on Offer:
Letting The Future In (LTFI) is a therapeutic service for children and young people age 4 to 17, who have made a disclosure of sexual abuse. Many children and young people feel confused and upset by what has happened to them, so a wide range of therapeutic techniques are used by our practitioners at the one to one sessions including play and art activities which gives children and young people an opportunity to explain how they are feeling. The service is designed to work with children, young people and the safe parent and or carer.
Letting The Future In (LTFI) Siblings
Sexual abuse can affect the whole family, so NSPCC Jersey also support the brothers and sisters of children who have been sexually abused. Turn the Page Turn the Page helps children and young people aged 4 to 17 who have displayed harmful sexual behaviour. It also supports their families and the professionals who work with them. The programme offers different types of assessments and support. This aims to help children, their families, and safe adults address any concerns and prevent further harm.
Schools Service
Our Speak Out Stay Safe programme for schools gives children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. With the help of our mascot Buddy, the programme provides child-friendly, interactive assemblies and workshops to help all children aged 4 - 11 learn essential safeguarding information in a lively, interactive and memorable way.
Campaigns
Be the First Filter is an online safety campaign developed with parents and safeguarding partners. This campaign helps parents, carers and professionals guide children aged 9 to 11 to stay safe online. It aims to reduce the sharing of self-generated images by strengthening adults’ skills, knowledge and confidence. Find resources to support you here https://safeguarding.je/
