Chef Position - Methodist Homes for the Aged (MHA Jersey)
MHA Jersey (Methodist Homes for the Aged) is a long-established charitable
organisation providing exceptional residential care for older adults in Jersey. Inspired
by Christian concern and guided by compassion, we support our residents to live
with dignity, independence, and a true sense of home.

Our two welcoming care homes Stuart Court in St Lawrence and Maison La Corderie in St Helier offer safe, comfortable environments and personalised care delivered by dedicated and experienced staff.

The Role
We are seeking kind, enthusiastic, and conscientious individual to join our team in
the role of Chef, working primarily at Stuart Court however if the needs or the
organisation require you could be asked to work at Maison Le Corderie. The
successful candidate will plan and provide nutritious meals to all residents daily,
ensuring food purchased is fresh and within budget.

They will cater for and pay special attention to preparing meals for the sick and those
who have special dietary requirements with varying instructions.

Key Responsibilities
 To provide nutritious, balanced meals to residents
 Promote residents’ privacy, dignity, independence, and wellbeing
 Treat all residents with respect, empathy, and compassion
 Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and other professionals
 Work flexibly to meet the needs of residents at either location
